It was a wonderful experience to join Bill, Yvonne and Ron on a hike to the rock faces overlooking Comox Lake. We were fortunate to meet a group of Canadian army men in training and they were happy to let us photograph them. So most of this album is about the climbers, but it also includes arbutus trees, other plants and a waterfall.
Stretched outPart of a large stump along the path to the rock faces. That's about as close to the edge as I would like to be - Ron in action.I was surprised to find so many arbutus trees clinging to the rocks.Taking it easy?An alternative route back and a short tough climb brought Bill and I to this waterfall, now somewhat dry.Possibly crisp sandwort and maidenhair fern along the path.SuccessHarder than he thought perhaps.Better check everything. It's a long way down.
