If you have travelled over BC highway 4 between Parksville-Qualicum and Pacific Rim National Park on Vancouver Island, you will probably agree that it is one of the most scenic roads you have travelled. However, it is tempting to rush ahead to the coast or back across the island. This album based on Spring and Fall trips in 2012 & 2013 shows some of the highlights that call for a slower journey - including Little Qualicum Falls provincial park, the mountainous centre, Taylor River, Kennedy River and Kennedy Lake. This leaves out Cathedral Grove, the Port Alberni area and Stamp River, which are also worth seeing.
